This protocol details the clinical parameters, resection boundaries, and anatomical checkpoints managed during the procedure. The priority is achieving R0 (microscopically negative) margins while preserving surrounding neural and vascular structures.

Procedural Stages

Mobilization of the splenic flexure and dissection of the mesorectal plane.
Sparing of autonomic pelvic hypogastric nerves.
Total Mesorectal Excision (TME) with negative distal margin verification.
Double-stapled colorectal anastomosis or permanent colostomy (APR).
